Description
Oi! Tudo bem? Teach Brazil is a great opportunity to explore this diverse South American country and reinvent yourself. You will live with a Brazilian family and tutor English 15 hours a week and receive room and board in exchange. Weekends and the rest of the time are free to sight-see, learn about Brazilian culture and make new friends!

You will be given a single room and meals at your host family's house, in exchange for 15 hours of English language coaching and instruction per week.
Orientation:
We will send you pre-departure orientation materials to help prepare you for your time in Brazil and give you suggestions on teaching ESL. We also recommend researching ESL teaching methods and lesson plans so that you are ready when you arrive at your host family's house.
Network of Friends:
Throughout your stay, you will be provided with the name and email addresses of the other Language Assistants in your area. This offers you an instant network of people you can ask advice from, socialize with, or travel around Brazil with.

***For those who want them, optional language classes are available. Language classes are a great way to be introduced to Brazilian culture and improve your Portuguese skills. Classes are held during your teach abroad program, and participants will be placed in a small group to receive lessons. These classes are highly recommended, especially if you have not practiced your Spanish recently.

* 18-25 years of age
* Able to secure a tourist visa to Brazil
* Native English speaker
* Willing to learn Brazilian culture
* Must have finished high school
* No teaching certification or experience required
* Do not need to speak Portuguese
