Founded in 1869, Escuela Politecnica Nacional is a public university. It is best known for its extremely high academic standards. CEC-EPN, the university's Continuing Education Center, offers over 375 English classes daily, with an average of 14 students per class-located in beautiful Quito.

Instructors will discover that CEC-EPN's students are very serious and dedicated. Each EFL student who has passed Level 11, 12, or 13 with a minimum grade of 3.0 (83%) is qualified to take the University's proficiency test. Candidates must pass this exam with a minimum qualification of 2.0 (73%) in order to obtain the Certificate in Proficiency of the English Language.

Qualifications

- Applicants must hold a B.A. or M.A. in English, Applied Linguistics, Drama, International Studies, or a related field, and a TEFL, TESL,
or CELTA certificate (or be willing to take CEC-EPN's TEFL/TESL/CCA certificate course [scholarships are available to qualified applicants]).
- Teaching experience preferred. USD 665 to USD 798 monthly stipend, depending on qualifications.
