About The Enjoy Tutoring English in China (shortened name ETEC)

The project includes learning Oriental culture and language; Experience new way of life in China. Staying with a local family is definitely the best and fastest way to learn the Chinese language, understand Chinese culture and make Chinese friends! It is also suitable for foreign tourists who want to see eastern China and stay in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Kunming these cities that are constantly changing and developing. As a fully integrated family member you will eat, cook, watch TV, shop, and experience day-to-day life with your host family. The family will provide you with a safe, clean and hospitable environment, and assist you in your transition to life in China! Meanwhile, you won't have to give up your privacy, as you will have your own space -- a private bedroom, most of the time with a private bathroom attached.

The purpose of the participants to join this program is to help the Chinese teenagers of spoken English, let them to like to chat in English and communicate with others.also,the purpose of the project is to make your experience but country culture; Feel the new way of life. By teaching English way to get the opportunity to experience the Oriental culture.

Courses

Exchange students curriculum is in full consideration the exchange students to learn the basic situation, the premise, in order to make the exchange activities can be successfully completed, students can smoothly through the stages of learning, understanding of Chinese culture and improve more Chinese expression ability, both taking required courses into account meanwhile.

The purpose: the exchange learning communication main purpose is to let students not only learning Chinese but also understanding and contact Chinese culture.

50% of Chinese + 20% of English + 15% other subjects + 15% activity courses

Specific Courses Description

* Chinese

Learning Chinese is the main purpose of this exchange. Therefore, the Chinese curriculum in the proportion is the largest. According to the knowledge of each block in Chinese, Chinese courses to further divided into: conversation, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and China introduction.

Conversation: use Chinese speed-up textbooks, from Chinese pronunciation, from easy to difficult to teach students Chinese daily diction, practicability, students can learn later use in daily life, can improve students' interests in Chinese. There are 5 lessons every week.

Listening: Let students through listening training, be familiar with and identify Chinese phonetics, intonation and speak language environment, training language sense, improve the reaction ability. It is a strong complement of conversation class. There are 3 lessons every week.
Reading and Grammar: In this Course, students will take over brief Chinese essays relatively, to expand Chinese vocabulary, at the same time the grammatical explanations and practice in progress. This subject can help students to build the basis of Chinese, help students to understand other cultures disciplines, and to improve Chinese level for the students in the future. There are 3 lessons every week.

Writing: In regarding to the observation and understanding of the students after a period of time, writing Chinese characters is a difficult point for the students, because Chinese characters are made by stroke. However, European the United States characters are made by the letters from words. Those are two obviously different systems. In this course, the teacher explained through demonstration of Chinese characters, the basic Pianpang radical students in other Chinese textbooks help students to learn vocabulary and skilled Chinese characters, laying the foundation for students' writing in Chinese. There are 3 lessons every week.

China Introduction: This subject is the introduction of Chinese culture. The teacher will speak both of English and Chinese to introduce Chinese geography, history, culture customs to help students understanding Chinese culture. There are 2 lessons every week.

* Kung Fu

About kung fu, belongs to the mysterious and ancient Oriental. You will have the opportunity to participate in some related activities, and course, make you understand mysterious kung fu.

* Chinese food

About Chinese food, Chinese food is the world famous cuisine; When you take part in this activity, you will learn basic Chinese food and some professional Chinese chef teach you these skills

* Traditional Chinese culture

The traditional Chinese culture, when you take part in this project, you will learn a lot about China folk culture courses, such as: paper-cut, calligraphy, Chinese musical instrument, the manual weaving;

* About tourism

this project department include travel costs in China, but your host family will take you to a regular city tourism (general family bear all the expense of the trip), and of course you also had the opportunity to travel by yourself in regular time.

* Practicing Course

Besides the regular courses, we have prepared practicing courses with Chinese characteristics for our exchange students particularly. Such as Chinese calligraphy, Chinese aquarelle and ceramics making. According to the students' interests, there are 1-2 lessons every week.

Meal
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided at school canteen with multiple choices.
