Paid Teaching Placement in Ghana
Location: Ghana: Rural Areas
Length of Position: Minimum 10 months commitment - 30+ hours a week.
Description
Teachers will take on a regular teaching load throughout the academic year. Working with school administrators and other teachers you will write schemes of work, lesson plans, and mark and assess student work. In addition you will have the opportunity to get involved in extracurricular sports, arts, and cultural activities.
The British National Curriculum will be provided to teachers. You do not have to be British or have a British teaching qualification for this project. All lessons are taught in English.
Your salary will be 500 USD per month. Payment is made in cash or by cheque at the end of each month. Cheques can easily be cashed at local banks using your passport.
Cost: 500 GBP Registration Fee. This covers; Skype/telephone interview and relevant reference checks, personalized matching with the best schools, assistance with visas, orientation upon arrival in Ghana, airport pick up & drop off at the end of the program and 24/7 support throughout your placement.
You will be given free accommodation throughout your placement, but will be expected to cover the cost of your food. (around 5 per day). You will be given a salary of 500 USD per month as a living stipend.
