Description

Volunteer in Chile! Volunteers gain valuable international experience as a teacher in the public school system.

In addition, the program offers volunteers the opportunity to live with a Chilean host family, encouraging full immersion in the Chilean culture and the opportunity to learn Spanish.

Highlights

Where? All across Chile
When? Start dates in March and April 2012
For how long? 4 months or 8 months
What will I be teaching? English to elementary, middle, or secondary school students
What is the schedule like? 25 hours/week in class, 10 hours/week leading extracurricular activities

- Participants will receive 60,000 Chilean pesos/month as a bonus
- Health insurance is provided
- Airport transfer to the training accommodations and round-trip transportation from Santiago to regional placement sites are provided
- Orientation in Santiago
- Accommodations with local host family, including 3 meals per day
- E-learning Spanish course

Qualifications

- Native or near-native English speaker
- Ages 21-35
- Bachelor's degree
- Interest in Chilean culture
